In the blacksmith’s shop, there are three types of tools. Tools on the junk pile, tools on the anvil, and tools on the workbench. Others lie in their masters hands well tuned, non-compromising, polished, and productive. All of us are somewhere in the blacksmith’s shop. We are either on the scrap heap, on the anvil, in the Master’s hands, or in the tool chest. Some have been in all four places. When you feel the heat, know that God has allowed the flames of refinement to wrap around you, to teach us, draw us closer, realize His eyes are on you, not too soon, not too quick, He pulls us out of the heat. Then we can be most effective for Him.
